Our feet are probably the hardest-working parts of our body — so it’s no wonder they need a little help from time to time.
Each foot contains 26 bones, and their alignment and function are vital for every step we take. If you’re experiencing ongoing or recurring pain or injury, it may be that your body is compensating for a sub-optimal foot position.
At activ8rehab, our Podiatrist takes this seriously. We carry out a full biomechanical assessment and video gait analysis to build a detailed picture of your personal movement patterns. From there, we take a precise 3D scan of your feet to ensure a truly bespoke evaluation.
Using this information, we can identify muscle weaknesses, imbalances, and postural abnormalities. This often leads to a tailored exercise programme, collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and, where necessary, the prescription of custom functional orthotic footbeds. We’ll also provide footwear advice, so you leave your appointment with the knowledge and tools to support your recovery and long-term foot health.
In our podiatry clinic, we commonly treat conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendinopathy, Morton’s Neuroma, Tibialis Posterior Dysfunction, and Patellar Tendinopathy. Poor foot mechanics can also contribute to issues higher up the body, including back and neck pain, highlighting how important proper foot function is for overall movement and comfort.
At activ8rehab Chertsey, our Podiatrist works closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, both pre- and post-surgery, as well as Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, and Sports Massage Therapists—both in-house and from partner clinics.
