Dave Fewster Dip FTST. Specialist Brace Fitting & Practice Manager
Dave qualified in 1994 and has since worked with a wide range of athletes — from elite professionals to dedicated recreational sportspeople. His passion for sports injury management and rehabilitation led him to join a multidisciplinary clinical team headed by Tom Williams in 1998, where he gained extensive experience working across various sports and performance environments.
In 2004, Dave joined forces with Tom once again to establish activ8rehab, which officially opened its doors on 1st September 2004.
With over 27 years of experience in knee brace fitting, Dave has developed extensive expertise in assessing, fitting, and managing both custom and off-the-shelf knee braces, including OA (osteoarthritis) knee braces. Trained by leading brace manufacturers such as Össur and DonJoy, he ensures every brace is tailored to provide the optimal fit, comfort, and support for each individual.
Dave plays a key role within the clinic, combining technical precision with a deep understanding of biomechanics to help clients recover from injury, manage pain, and return to activity with confidence.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dave also serves as the Practice Manager, overseeing the day-to-day running of the clinic and ensuring every client receives a professional, seamless, and welcoming experience.
Dave combines his technical expertise, clinical experience, and strong organisational skills to support both clients and colleagues, helping maintain activ8rehab’s reputation for excellence in physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation.
